Koal Kountry Kattery & Kennels

Welcome to Koal Kountry Kennels, and Koal Kountry Kattery, who we are;

We are Kraig and Kris Johnston, welcome to our small ranch on the prairie.  We Specialize in “Gentle Giant’s”  AKC Alaskan Malamute Giants  and TICA Ragdolls “Gentle Giants”.

We are merely the caretakers of these great creatures.  We live on a small ranchette.  You will find us nestled between the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming and the Black Hills of South Dakota.  We are located in Gillette Wyoming, where you will find the largest and safest Coal Mines in the United States.  Please come visit our world.

We have been raising and breeding great companions for over 30 years.  We are a very small Kennel and Kattery.  Our companions include Black Hills Bear, Comet the Star Storm and Keasha Koal Kodiak. Our smaller companions are Tickleme Charmin of Koal Kountry,  Perfectrags Rocky Koal, and Ms Blue Angle Doll.

Our Sir is Black Hills Bear,  from the M’Loot lines. “Bear” is a Red and White, “Gentle Giant” he is documented at just over 160lbs, 28 inches at his shoulder. He loves everyone and everything.  He is a great example of the gentle giant very kind, makes a great ride for the grandkids.

Our Dam is Comet the Star Storm lovingly known to us as “Kassey” is a Silver and White “Gentle Giant” from the Kodiak lines. Kassey is just over 100lbs and is 24 inches at the shoulder.  She is a wonderful mom, she is in charge of all the kritters that live or visit us.

Our up and coming Dam is Keasha Koal Kodiak  from the Kodiak lines she is our lady in waiting. No puppies for her yet, maybe this year.  She is a commonly called the “Bad Aunt”.  Keasha is approx 25 inches at the shoulder she is still growing at 98lbs,  She is the one that teaches the puppies everything they should not do. They love her.

All of our companions are part of our family.  All puppies and kittens are raised under our feet, with lots of socialization and handling from the very small to adults.  Our grandchildren are in with the babies almost as soon as they are born.  Socialization is the most important thing we can do for our kritters and their new families.

All Babies come with their age appropriate shots, deworming and a health certificate from the Vet.  We micro-chip all of our babies for their safety.  We guarantee that all babies are healthy when they leave us; unfortunately we cannot guarantee what they will be exposed to after they leave us.  We guarantee all babies for one year for genetic fatalities.
